In 2018, we launched the Inclusion Hub, a disability-focused digital training centre for persons with disabilities in Lagos. The Inclusion Hub is Nigeria’s first disability-focused digital training facility aimed at empowering persons with disabilities through skill development and digital literacy.
The launch of this hub helped us amplify our digital inclusion program for persons with disabilities and promote inclusion products and services. Since then, we have trained persons with disabilities across Nigeria in various ICT skills including graphics, social media management, picture, audio, video editing, data management, and coding.
The key objective of the Inclusion Hub is to provide accessible training programs, promote inclusivity in the digital space. In addition, it fosters an environment where persons with disabilities can thrive in their careers and personal development.
The Inclusion Hub is an open space for persons with disabilities to carry out their different activities and programs. This includes vocational training, entrepreneurship workshops, and mentorship opportunities. The Inclusion Hub was built to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities.
Since the launch of the Hub, we have trained persons with disabilities across Nigeria in various ICT skills including graphics, social media management, picture, audio, video editing, data management, and coding. Over 500 persons with disabilities who have trained at the Inclusion Hub have gained new skills, found employment, and started and scaled their businesses as a result of the training they received at the Hub.
